Teaching is not a job, it's my passion. If you're reading this page, you're probably familiar with the types of questions in module surveys, so I haven't included these - they are the usual, what did you like? any comments to add etc
For me, Teaching is a privilege - not a chore.

What students say on teaching style …
Interaction & Engagement

Lecture's being engaging at all times with everything explained in simple terms and given real world examples
Paul's teaching was great, very interactive, fun and interesting. Gave relatable stories and aided with diagrams and overall a great lecturer.
The lectures were very good, informative and fun.
Lectures were delivered well throughout and were entertaining.
The engagement between lecturer and student was higher than most modules, this helped to make students feel like if they have any queries or questions about the module that they can approach the lecturer.
The teaching and guided lab times were most useful for the assignment and for asking questions where the professor has answered and engage with the students.
Interactive discussions amongst the students and lecturer during both lectures and seminars. Also really enjoyed the presentation part of the assessment - made it feel practical and applicable to the real world.
Really effective and engaging lecturer that made the points in each of the lectures very clear.
The hands on, fresh approach to teaching sales dialog. It was extremely engaging and informative to run through things in lectures aloud with all the class getting involved.
The lecturer is very engaging with the students in every session (be in lecturer or seminar). He is also very passionate when it comes to teaching.
Over the course of my academic and professional life, I have had many teachers and I can say with certainty, that only three I would describe as excellent teachers and Paul is one of them. Paul goes the extra mile to not only teach and engage his students, but to make sure they also improve and gain valuable skills for after university.
Paul is a very interactive lecturer and provides a lot of support. It is clear he knows a lot about the industry and is good at explaining.
Engaging lectures Seminars involved plenty of interaction which kept them interesting. Most stimulating module and 'real world' information from a module that I have received in my whole time in university.
Interesting topic, engaging lectures and seminars, practical coursework task. Paul is great makes lectures fun!
Paul's teaching style is immersive and effective, even though the module was a 9am I was always motivated to attend as Paul manages to bring the lecture to life and make it really interesting!
Teaching style makes the lectures engaging - most enjoyable lectures this term
The lecturer made everyone feels welcome and he wants everyone to engage with the modules. It is also a different type of learning the lecturer us than a normal lecture.
Enthusiasm and passion from Paul made the module more engaging and enjoyable to undertake
Every lecturer needs to shadow Paul and take notes on how to engage students
None, great modules and best lecturer ever.
Overall, the best module I've taken, always encouraged to engage and given guidance when required although also the opportunity to figure things out ourselves.

What students say on …
Assessment style

The teaching style of the instructor, the ability to now connect the dots in terms of various digital tactics and apply it to daily lives.
The real life examples he gives and the hands on approach of the sales report and pitch. It's challenging but enjoyable.
The fact that the theory was supported with practical exercise really helped me to gain a solid understanding of the subject unlike other modules
This is the most applicable module I have done. I can instantly take this out and make money with it.

How casual the lectures are, easy lecturer to get along with encouraging students to attend great practical side to the module - not enough of uni is practical - loved the practical assessment - good teaching style as well - i will take a lot of this with me next year
I enjoyed the presentation project the most. It allowed us to actually apply what we learned into our presentation.
I have found that this module is superior to other modules mainly because it feels more real. We learn actually skills which will be using in the future, as well as academic theories to help these practices. The lecturer is far from boring and has made me feel like they really care about the students, compared to other lecturers.
I learnt a lot of valuable skills that I can take into a professional environment
I feel that the nature of the module helps to prepare students for the working world significantly more than any other module I have studied. Having completed a placement year I recognise the usefulness of this type of module and believe that it will be very useful for those graduating this year and going into employment for the first time.
The application of theory into real-life projects and tasks that you occur during your working career.
A big thank you to Paul for going the extra mile and making my feedback so much more personal. His teaching style has even made me reconsider my options for next semester.

the style of teaching that was applied to the module and the feedback given on assignments was very helpful compared to other modules.
What students say on …
Feedback & Feed-Forward

The practical element of the presentation and the immediate feedback really pointed out my weaknesses and gave me a lot to think upon and how i present myself in the future across other modules, I used these techniques with immediate effect and already got more marks.
For someone with prior experience in digital marketing, this module has helped me to expand my knowledge and skill set, and to gain a part-time digital marketing job alongside my studies.
I have found every lecture amazing. Paul goes out of his way to make learning fun and this has been my favourite module out of the whole of my university education. We have had lots of guest speakers and there is never a dull moment. Paul used speech marking in turnitin for this module and it has made my feedback so much more personal and it has really allowed me to understand the module further.
Authentic coursework element. Coursework was intellectually challenging digitization sector in organizations is rapidly growing
It's application to real life business - especially the authentic assessment.
Paul is an excellent lecturer, very knowledgeable and is able to get everyone to interact in the lecture to ensure we understand. His seminars are amazing
The feedback from the lecturer was also incredibly useful and gave us constructive points to work towards in order to push our grade boundaries; more lecturers should do this.
Overall, the best module I've taken, always encouraged to engage and given guidance when required although also the opportunity to figure things out ourselves.
The assignment structure made me think even more about how I use the word count to get my point across in most constructive and effective way. Coursework feedback was very useful and allowed me to improve the next assignment.
Paul used speech marking in turnitin for this module and it has made my feedback so much more personal and it has really allowed me to understand the module further.
Paul used voice notes for feedback, I believe it took him a long time to do, but it was very worth it. I found the voice note incredibly helpful and informative. Feedback I normally find is rather lacking, but Paul made the extra effort and I believe it really helped me improve.
The discussions, the integration of real-life examples with academic theory was also effective in conveying the content. I feel that I learned a lot in this module. Additionally, I find the coursework feedback quite helpful as it contrasts good things as well as areas of improvement.
All of the lab sessions were extremely engaging and informative. Having an environment where even the more shy individuals feel comfortable speaking up made such a huge difference in being able to learn the material.
The ability to learn from fellow students in the class by talking to each other - this was made easier by the relaxed environment of the labs.

Overall, the best module I've taken, always encouraged to engage and given guidance when required although also the opportunity to figure things out ourselves.
Paul understand students' point of view which many lecturers don't (unfortunately). He helps get everyone involved in the lecture and feel involved in the module.
How casual the lectures are, easy lecturer to get along with encouraging students to attend great practical side to the module - not enough of uni is practical - loved the practical assessment - good teaching style as well - i will take a lot of this with me next year
Refreshing way of teaching - different to other lecturers. Takes some getting used to, but has definitely kept lectures interesting as shown with the high attendance rate.
Paul is a very good lecturer and his experience and teaching style is great for inspiring students
His way of teaching was fun and interactive and helped to keep students' attention. He also does a great job of letting students work on their own to make mistakes and learn from them, rather than hand-holding students by directly telling them what to do and how to submit coursework.
I liked Paul's style of teaching. He makes sure everybody understands and ensures nobody is left behind. The teaching labs created a great atmosphere to learn.

Great lecturer and great experiences from this module.
Great module, wish more were like this!
Paul is a great lecturer, his enthusiasm for helping students learn skills is greatly appreciated and very encouraging!
Paul is an excellent lecturer, teaching a module that is really useful upon graduating. I’ve learnt a lot on this module and would recommend students choosing it.
This has been the most useful module that I have undertaken this semester. At first I was hesitant about the module but when we began immersing ourselves more in the content of the course it became far more interesting and engaging. Paul has made every effort to make this course as beneficial to the students as possible.
Paul made this module exciting and interesting which is difficult to do in a lecture setting, moreover he always went the extra mile for all of the students in our class which is something not many lectures do. I have appreciated all the help he has given us over the year and the quality of the learning experience I’ve received.
Without over exaggerating, probably the best lecture and lecturer i’ve had over the last three years of study. I haven’t missed a 9am lecture or seminar because the lectures are that engaging and interesting. The topics I’ve learnt are lessons I can take into the real world and feel I have already benefited from the lessons and the way they are taught, the lecture has made me shift my opinion on sales and is now a career path that interests me.
Paul actually takes the time to sit down and talk to us about where we can improve and wants us to succeed in life as well as university.
Personally, enjoy it when lecturers explain new concepts or ideas with real world examples, often from their personal experiences, of which Paul has many. Thank you for this term Paul!

Relating the research of the module with real-life situations. I was able to relate to a lot of the module content due to my placement year, which makes it easier to relate to.

Seminars with real life cases and examples from the industry.
The hands-on approach of the lecturer.
The practical approach to teaching
The real life examples he gives and the hands on approach of the sales report and pitch. It's challenging but enjoyable.
The teacher, best teacher I ever had.
The use of real life examples to put theory in context.
